Dr. James Sostak is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine.

Dr. Sostak’s passion for sports medicine developed through his own participation in team sports. A former professional baseball player on the NCAA’s Verizon Academic All-American Baseball Team, he set the current NCAA men’s baseball record for most consecutive hits.

Dr. Sostak takes care of athletes of all ages, providing numerous options for treating sports injuries. He serves the community as a team physician for Aurora Central Catholic High School.

Dr. Sostak was a former team physician for Milwaukee Public Schools High School Varsity Football, NCAA Division III Men’s Hockey at Concordia University in Wisconsin, Canyon High School Varsity Football in Canyon County California and LA Valley Community College Football.

He enjoys participating in a variety of sports, including baseball, slow-pitch softball, golf, and running.

Dr. Sostak has numerous publications and research papers under his belt –including articles on arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic meniscal repair, and a book chapter entitled The Throwing Shoulder.
