About Dr. Morawski
Dr. Morawski is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in same-day total joint replacement. With more than 30 years of experience, he is recognized as a leading expert in anterior hip replacement, minimally invasive muscle-sparing, total knee replacement, and complex joint revision surgery in the Northwest suburbs.
Patient-Centered Approach
Dr. Morawski is committed to delivering comprehensive, personalized care. He emphasizes conservative treatment whenever appropriate, offering options such as activity modification, medications, physical therapy, bracing, injections, and pain management. He also utilizes advanced biologic therapies for arthritis, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell treatments.
Advanced Surgical Expertise
When surgery is needed, Dr. Morawski tailors each treatment and recovery plan to the individual patient. He utilizes minimally invasive, muscle-sparing techniques for hip replacement to reduce tissue disruption and support faster recovery. For knee replacement, he performs a quadriceps-sparing approach that often allows patients to return home. He also performs both standard and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, particularly for patients with rotator cuff deficiency.
Robotic & Navigated Technology
Dr. Morawski is highly experienced in computer-assisted and robotic-guided joint replacement, including the ExcelsiusFlex™ robotic navigation system. This advanced technology provides real-time, image-guided precision to optimize implant positioning and alignment, helping to improve outcomes, enhance recovery, and support long-term implant durability. Dr. Morawski spent five years working closely with Globus Medical in the development of the ExcelsiusFlex™ robot to ensure next-generation precision, procedural flexibility, and ergonomic control in total knee replacement surgery.
Dr. Morawski was the lead developer, and worked closely with Globus Medical.

Same-Day Joint Replacement
As a pioneer in the field, Dr. Morawski was one of the founders of same-day surgery. By reducing the time spent in a hospital, Dr. Morawski helped lower the risk of hospital-acquired infections, decreased healthcare costs, and allowed patients to begin rehabilitation in their own home. Today, he continues this legacy as a strong advocate for same-day total joint replacement at Fox Valley Orthopedics’ Ambulatory Surgery Center, where patients recover safely and comfortably at home within hours of surgery.
Outside the Office
Outside of his practice, Dr. Morawski enjoys traveling throughout the United States and Europe with his wife, golfing, and spending time with family.
