Orthofirst Walk-In Orthopedic Care

Same-Day Orthopedic Treatment in Geneva & Elgin

OrthoFirst is our walk-in clinic where you can be seen by one of our orthopedic specialists on the same day as your injury. This service is less expensive than an ER visit and gives you the chance to be seen by an orthopedic specialist instead of a general emergency room doctor.

We see patients same-day on a “first come first serve” basis in three of our convenient locations.

Walk-in customers after 5:00 p.m. or on Saturdays may be asked to pay a retainer fee if insurance benefits cannot be verified. This fee will be applied to co-pays and service charges after insurance is verified.

We offer walk-in and same-day appointments through OrthoFirst Monday-Friday at Geneva-South, Geneva-North, Elgin-Randall, and Elgin-Lin Lor locations, and Saturday in Geneva-North and Elgin-Randall. We treat all ages. To learn more, call 630-584-1400.

Why OrthoFirst?

  • Save Time: Most ER doctors refer their orthopedic patients to our doctors after their emergency room visit. Skip the time at the ER – and the cost – by coming to Fox Valley Orthopedics first.
  • Save Money: The co-pay for an OrthoFirst™ visit is the same as a doctor’s office visit, versus the higher co-pay for General Urgent Care or ER.
  • Specialty Care: When you have an orthopedic injury, obtaining treatment from an orthopedic expert assures the proper diagnosis and treatment plan to get you moving again.
  • Treatment for the Entire Family: OrthoFirst™ treats children, adults, seniors, and athletes of all ages.
  • Immediate Access: Walk-in, same-day, and evening appointments.
  • Onsite Services: OrthoFirst™ provides onsite digital x-ray and MRI equipment designed specifically for orthopedics, as well as casting/bracing services.
  • Acceptance of Major Insurance Plans: We accept most major insurance plans including, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Great West, HFN, Medicare, Multiplan/Private Health Care Systems (PHCS), Principal, and United Healthcare. Some HMO plans are also accepted now.

What We Treat

Orthopedic injuries treated at OrthoFirst™ include:

  • Sports injuries
  • Fractures
  • Broken bones
  • Muscle/joint pain
  • Sprains/strains
  • Dislocations
  • Work injuries*

*Work-related injuries need to be pre-approved by the employer or insurance company prior to your arrival and prior to 4:30 p.m. in order to ensure that provided care is eligible for coverage. Patients with work-related injuries who come to OrthoFirst™ without pre-approval or after 4:30 p.m. or on Saturday may be asked to self-pay for services rendered. A refund for self-pay services will be issued upon payment to Fox Valley Orthopedics from the worker’s compensation or commercial carrier.
