ASC Materials Coordinator / Athletic Trainer
Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Days/Hours: M-F, 7:30a-4p
Location: Geneva, IL
Summary
Responsible for ordering products and maintaining appropriate inventory levels for the ASC. Follows purchase orders from requisition to delivery. Coordinates DME dispensed to patients in the ASC.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor stocked ASC product quantities and set appropriate par levels to meet anticipated case volume.
- Order implants and non-stock ASC products as needed to meet scheduled case requirements.
- Track purchase order delivery dates and follow up with vendors on backordered items. Place alternative orders with different vendors if needed.
- Review purchase order acknowledgments from vendors to ensure accuracy. Notify vendors of discrepancies.
- Move delivered products from the receiving elevator to the appropriate stocking location.
- Reconcile packing slips with purchase orders. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor stock expiration dates.
- Maintain organized stockroom shelves.
- Transfer DME products from the clinic stockroom to the ASC as needed for surgical patients. Ensure that appropriate dispensing records are maintained for billing.
Education & Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in purchasing or inventory control.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree and Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC).
- Familiarity and/or experience with MRP or ERP systems.
- Previous work experience in a healthcare environment.
