At Fox Valley Orthopedics, we offer customized knee replacements. Using both x-ray and MRI, your surgeon will create custom-fitted, custom-made guides to use for your total joint replacement surgery. A custom femoral implant will also be selected based on your anatomy.

The Signature™ system utilizes custom femoral (thighbone) and tibial (shinbone) positioning guides that fit directly onto your unique anatomy. Using your MRI results, a computer program creates a three-dimensional joint reconstruction, enabling your surgeon to plan total knee replacement before surgery.

• Standard Knee Replacements – With a standard, non-MRI designed knee replacement, the surgeon designs the implantation during the procedure once the joint has been exposed
• Signature Knee Replacements – With a Signature™ custom fitted guide, you enter surgery with a pre-designed system custom-made for your body based on MRI. The femoral (thigh borne) implant is also hand selected by your doctor.

With this custom knee replacement system, you will enjoy a much lower likelihood of feeling like your implant is “too tight” or “too loose” after surgery compared to traditional knee replacement methods. Patients will also get a more natural range of motion including better flexion, which allows for a more natural feeling.
